Let’s take a tip from the Google Adwords trick-book.
For those of you not familiar with pay-per-click models on Google, look at the image below. (But if you are not familiar with Google, then you’re in trouble!)

Alright- the search results you see in the yellow box are free or organic results, meaning they are there at the top because Google perceives them as important enough to be there FREE. The ones you see on the right columns are PAID advertisements, using a pay per click model.
One person used this PPC model to get FOUR interviews of of five that he aimed to get, and got TWO job offers. Great conversion rate huh? The best copywriters would be envious!

The fact of the matter is that during these difficult economic times, many of us have had to revise our career goals and even go into business for ourselves. Let’s face it, the only person you can trust to provide yourself with financial stability is you, and that is why over the last couple of years small business start-ups, new home-based businesses and other forms of entrepreneurship have exploded. Unfortunately, while many people have the drive necessary to be their own boss, in today’s fast paced world, the only way to be successful is to get yourself out there; a daunting task for those new to the game.
Marketing is essentially (for me at least) the most important aspect of making profits with your business. I have seen businesses selling nothing interesting, but have managed to make millions due to their excellent marketing strategies.

Personal Branding Tips for your business
Today I will share with you a method that my employer and I have been using recently to spread word about our business, as well as our personal brands.
The online forums has been recently so clogged up with internet marketing ideas, suggestions, and advice that traditional marketing models has been relegated to the lower rungs on the marketing forums. I log on to the usual suspects such as Warrior Forum, V7n, and so on, only to find rehashed advice given by forumites only interested in increasing their forum post counts and gaining backlinks.
So today I promise there will be NO internet marketing advice for you. Just a quick guide on an activity that we have been doing increasingly to market ourselves.

Don’t click on it! Just hover the mouse over it. You should see a drop down menu. Well, when i used weebly.com to create my previous sites, creating a drop down menu was a given, but using a wordpress platform was a whole different animal altogether!

The “stickiness” factor is very important if you wish to establish a respectable-sized readership. “Stickiness” refers to how long a reader decides to stick on your page and be thoroughly engaged with the contents of your site or blog.
